What is Apotheka?
The history of the building itself dates back to the 14th century. We drew our inspiration from the period when an apothecary was established in these very premises. Today’s incarnation of a genuine, craft-focused bar, opened in 2009, reflects the charm of old European apothecaries and Absinthe parlours, infused with touches of bygone worldly luxury.
Pharmacy is the science of clinical health, bridging medical science and chemistry, tasked with discovering, producing, safely and effectively using, and regulating medicines. Pharmaceutical practice requires exceptional knowledge of medications, their applications, effects, interactions, side effects, and toxicity… We approach our craft with the same level of care and are dedicated to offering you new and exciting cocktail experiences.

Our Own Gin
Limited Edition Apotheka Gin
Apotheka Bar presents its own gin, produced in a limited edition of 317 bottles. Every drop is a tribute to craftsmanship and the unique atmosphere of our bar in Český Krumlov.
9 People, 9 Botanicals
Nine people were behind its creation, each leaving their mark on the recipe. Each one is represented by one of the nine botanicals – from traditional juniper, angelica, and orange peel to more unusual notes like plantain, currant leaf, and bay.
Limited edition
This gin was produced in a limited run of just 317 bottles. Each one is unique and cannot be found elsewhere – a rare opportunity to taste a piece of our story.
In Collaboration with Poněšice
The gin was created in collaboration with the local Poněšice distillery, from which we have sourced high-quality fruit spirits for years. We are united by a respect for tradition, craftsmanship, and the pursuit of a distinctive flavour.

Reservations
Bar Reservations
Reservations are accepted exclusively in person at the bar. You can reserve up to half of the bar’s capacity, no later than 10 pm. Reserved seats will be released if not claimed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
1. Standard Reservations
For individuals and small groups, we offer convenient reservations for up to half of our bar’s capacity. Come and enjoy quality cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere at your own pace.
2. Group Reservations
For larger groups, capacity is limited – we recommend booking in advance. We’ll prepare a space so you can enjoy our bar in comfort and at ease.
